The Starn group and its subsidiaries, Safehouse Habitats (Scotland) Ltd and Sabre Safety Services Ltd, are delighted to announce its involvement in the Social Bite Sleep in the Park 2018 event being held in Dundee on 8th December 2018. A group from the head office in Dundee are joining thousands across Scotland to raise money and awareness to help end homelessness in Scotland.

Last year 8,000 people joined in with World’s largest sleep out in Prince St Gardens to raise £4 Million and call for an end to homelessness in Scotland. This has caused a sea change in the fight against homelessness and funded a raft of major projects. Now, Social Bite want to keep up the momentum and are asking 12,000 people across 4 cities to join in a nationwide sleep out.

Thanks to the money raised in Edinburgh last year, Social Bite have developed a program for 800 rough sleepers, bringing them off the street and into main stream housing. Hundreds of thousands of pounds are also being distributed to mainstream charities working with homeless people throughout Scotland. The work at the core of Social Bite includes employment programs for homeless people in 3 cities and distributing over 100,000 items of hot food and drinks, the money raised helps to facilitate the continuation of this, and many other projects benefiting those in need.

Please join us in ending homelessness in Scotland.  Visit Social Bite to find out how you can help, and stay tuned for details on how to sponsor our team!
